Who we are

Realign Grooming is a barber and grooming studio run by Matty Mags, serving Orchard Park, Buffalo, and the surrounding Western New York area. Realign Grooming is responsible for the client information collected through this site.

This website was built and is maintained by Landslide Studios, which operates the site and its visitor analytics on Realign Grooming’s behalf. Landslide Studios does not use your information for its own marketing.

What we collect, and why

You can read every page of this site without giving us anything. We only collect information when you choose to start a consultation or book an appointment.

When you book an appointment

The booking flow asks for exactly four things about you:

• First name
• Last name
• Email address
• Phone number

We need your name to know whose chair it is, and your email and phone so Matty can reach you about your appointment. Along with these we record the appointment itself — the service you picked, the price, the location (Orchard Park, the private studio, or a house call), and the date and time.

The style consultation

Before booking you can optionally answer three questions about your hair — your face shape, your hair texture, and your hair density — so the site can suggest cuts that suit you. Your answers are saved to your client record and attached as a note to your appointment, so Matty knows what he is working with before you sit down. These are style preferences you select from a list. We do not collect photographs, measurements, or any health information.

If you have booked with us before

When you type your email address into the consultation form, the site checks whether you already have a client record. If you do, it fills in your details so you do not have to type them again.

Payment

This website never asks for, receives, or stores card or bank details. Payment is handled in person at the time of your appointment.

Cookies and analytics

Browsing this website does not put any cookies on your device. There is no cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to. We do not store anything in your browser’s local storage either.

The one exception is not about visitors: when Matty signs in to the private admin area to update the gallery, a single sign-in cookie is set for that session. It is never set for anyone browsing the public site.

We do use one analytics tool: Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our hosting company. It counts things like how many people visited a page and which page they came from, so we know which parts of the site are useful. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and cannot follow you to other websites.

There is no Google Analytics on this site, no Meta or Facebook pixel, no advertising or retargeting trackers, and no session recording or heatmap software. The fonts and images are served from this site rather than loaded from another company.

Our Instagram and Facebook icons, and the “Get directions” link, are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to those companies unless you click through, at which point their own privacy policies apply.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled by three companies that make this site work, and by no one else:

We may also share information if the law requires it — for example, a valid legal request.

Keeping the site secure

To stop spam and abuse, the booking system briefly counts requests coming from each IP address so that no one can flood it. That count is held in memory for about a minute and is not written to our database or tied to your booking.

Sign-in attempts to the private admin area are logged with the IP address and the time, and those security logs are deleted after 30 days. This applies to staff sign-ins only, not to visitors.

How long we keep it

We keep your client record for as long as you are a client, so that Matty has your history and you do not have to re-enter your details every visit. It is not deleted automatically.

If you ask us to delete it, we remove it — see below. If you have not booked in a long time and would rather we did not keep your details on file, just tell us and we will clear them.

Your appointment history also sits in Square as part of the business’s records, and Square keeps it under its own retention rules.

Getting your information deleted

Email or text us and ask. There is no form to fill in and you do not have to give a reason. You can ask us to:

• tell you what we have on file for you
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete your client record entirely

We will take care of it within 30 days. Deleting your record means we also remove your consultation notes, so if you book again afterwards you will start fresh. If you have an appointment coming up, we will confirm with you before removing anything the booking depends on.

Younger clients

Matty cuts kids’ hair, but this website is meant to be used by adults. If you are booking for your child, please book under your own name and contact details. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle your information changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top. This policy describes how the site works as of that date.
